My KUTX: Walker Lukens

On Saturday, June 18, 2nd Street Soundcheck takes over a stretch of downtown. This is a free, family-friendly music and street festival that benefits KUTX and the Austin Music Foundation, and it features some great live, local music: Walker Lukens & The Sidearms, Tameca Jones, Moving Panoramas, and more.

To celebrate, we’re broadcasting an oldie My KUTX, but it’s a goodie. Walker Lukens is our guest DJ, and he’s got great stories to go along with the songs: listening to Tom Waits like a madman, blasting Spoon out of his (you guessed it) car radio, and more. Tune in Saturday, June 11 or listen anytime at the bottom of the page.
