Barrie 9.3.19

Barrie may be based in Brooklyn, but with members from Baltimore, Brazil, London, and Upstate New York, the quintet creates their very own stylistic pop with inclusivity at its heart. In May, they released their debut LP, Happy to be Here, showing how far they have come from their first show in the basement of a WeWork space on Wall Street. Co-produced with Jake Aron (Snail Mail, Solange, Grizzly Bear), lead vocalist Barrie Lindsay creates snapshots of the band forming in the city, while the sonic input of fellow members Dominic Apa, Spurge Carter, Sabine Holler and Noah Prebish is a testament to the band’s dynamic sound.

Barrie stopped by Studio1A on their tour run with WHY? to give us a glimpse into their world of pop. Watch and listen to the live performance below.
