Nothing but smiles and excitement in Studio1A yesterday as BOOHER unveiled their new record deal with Old Flame Records (Cloud Nothings, Potty Mouth, Rozwell Kid). One of Austin’s newest bands, BOOHER is the newest music project from former frontman of Zykos, Michael Booher. The band has traded in the early 2000s emo rock of Cursive for the Americana style and raspy voice of Bright Eyes.
Produced by Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Pattie Griffin), debut album Funny Tears is scheduled to be released in early 2017. Snag a sneak preview of the album this Friday, June 24th at Blackheart during the band’s free digital EP release party featuring Star Parks and Brother Superior.
New EP Autographin Bibles is released this Friday and features three songs from upcoming album. BOOHER hung out with Laurie Gallardo in Studio1A yesterday and played two exclusive just for KUTX. Listen to the live session down below.
