Deer Tick 5.14.19

American alt-country collective Deer Tick returned this February with a new compilation album titled Mayonnaise– a set of reworked songs, alternate takes, and newly recorded versions of their favorite tour covers including the likes of Lou Reed, George Harrison, and Ben Vaughn. A companion piece to their previous compilations Deer Tick Vol. 1 and 2, they explained with a chuckle that “we wanted people to nickname Volume 1 and Volume 2 after condiments the whole time.” Deer Tick brought their signature homemade sound to Studio 1A, talking BBQing in hotel parking lots, recent trips to the movies, and their show at the Historic Scoot Inn, all before noon.
