The four piece rock quartet, New Madrid, from Athens is back with a bunch of new material. With the recent release of their latest album, Magnetkingmagnetqueen, their sound is pushed a little harder and further out than ever before across 15 new tracks. There’s a large diversity between songs, heavily exploring into the band’s style and influences. Elements of psych weave in-and-out through guitar riffing, reverberated vocals, heady bass lines, and shaking drums that fill up the entire sound space. However, the band still holds true to some classic trippy rock, with a tinge of New Order-esque drive, and pop-oriented catchiness.

The group played June 30th at The Sidewinder with Shivery Shakes and Strange Lot. If you just didn’t get a chance to catch them then, check out the links below to enjoy their visit to KUTX’s very own Studio 1A and get a sneak peak.
