Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets 9.27.18

It’s not every day we get to host a bonafide rock ‘n’ roll legend in our Studio 1A and there really isn’t a better description for U.K. pub rock pioneer, Nick Lowe. Even from his earliest days, Lowe was producing, playing on or writing hits like “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding” for the likes of Elvis Costello and others like “Cruel to Be Kind” and “I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass” for his own projects. Not satisfied with recreating the sounds that started his career, Lowe then spent the better part of the past forty years exploring his own artistry and releasing a string of undeniably solid records up until his latest EP recorded with his now longtime bandmates, Los Straitjackets. Hear why Nick Lowe is regarded as one of the most preeminent rock ‘n’ roll songwriters with his recent visit to Studio 1A.
