Local band Shivery Shakes make “shimmery fuzzy pop jams” with a side of escapism.
Formed in 2011 and comprised of William Glosup (guitar & vocals), Marcus Haddon (drums & vocals), Andrew Penmer (bass & vocals), and Jack Thornton (guitar & vocals), Shivery Shakes have been creating sweet and catchy pop bites under the veil of textured guitars and a joyous haze. The band’s debut full-length, 2014’s Three Waves & A Shake, assuredly sits at the crossroads of surf rock and indie pop, calm and confident, with a nod towards the ’60’s.
