For those of us that arrived to Austin in the early 2000s, the Americana indie-rock outfit Zykos were an awesome introduction to the local music scene. Fronted by vocalist/guitarist Mike Booher, vocalist/keyboardist Catherine Davis, guitarists Jarod Harmeier & Alex Lyon, bassist Mike Roeder, and drummer Jerod Cykoski, Zykos is reuniting for a big show at The Mohawk on Saturday, December 17th. The band stopped by Studio 1A to dust off the songs that helped define the Austin sound from the turn of the century.
