Annabelle Chairlegs: “Outside”

Having first steamed up with Tree Motel in Santa Fe, Lindsey Mackin moved to Austin about midway through the twenty-teens, and proceeded to round up a dedicated bunch of aural addicts with her psych-blues rock outfit Annabelle Chairlegs. For lovers of classic rock like myself, Annabelle Chairlegs has a little of everything; groovy late-’60s psychedelia that veers into acid-addled aggressive proto-punk, mid-’70s hard blues rock that equally serves both sides of the spectrum, and of course, Mackin’s timeless vocals.

Proving once again to harness the energy of Janis Joplin, Iggy & The Stooges, Spencer Davis Group, Led Zeppelin, MC5, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and Jefferson Airplane all at once, Annabelle Chairlegs is set to release their sophomore LP Gotta Be In Love in just over a month. Its ten new tracks stay more than faithful to AC’s retro rock aesthetic and embody a youthful energy that’s sure to kick you clean off your rocker. Gotta Be In Love drops September 1st, and today Annabelle Chairlegs shared its second single and music video, “Outside”!
