Daktyl is a British producer who’s spent most of his career working in the darker corners of dance and electronic culture, opting for thudding soundscapes that blend hip-hop with electronic flourishes. But on “The Act Of Hesitation,” he moves a bit more firmly into the light. Daktyl opens up his sound with looped strings and crackly textures, leaving space in the mix for British singer Krrum to float away with his ethereal R&B croon. The song seems to, well, hesitate in mid-air, a club hit for endless daydreaming.
