All this week, the Song of the Day highlights ACL Fest 2015 artists.
Austin’s Leopold & His Fiction is usually a chaotic, raw rock ‘n’ roll experience, characterized by frontman Daniel James’s bluesy rasp and Flying V acrobatics. So when the band stopped by backstage at ACL Fest on Friday, we weren’t sure what to expect with an all-acoustic setup. But Leopold found a new dimension to their songs, thanks to the stripped-down setting. The all-out assault of “I’m Caving In” was transformed into a doo-wop bar room singalong.
