There’s freedom in two-man bands, as if they have to fill up all that extra space onstage or in the studio. Austin’s Major Major Major is Adrian Sebastian (guitar, vocals) and Andrew Torrey (drums), but they often color outside their given lines. Guitars will take on a rhythmic stab while the drums fill in the blanks. On “Scream Queen,” the band’s engine has a few gears, shifting between a doo-wop sway and a yelping garage-rock sprint. True to its title, the song slashes away in a campy, gleeful rush.
