Tonight at the Mohawk, Austin’s My Golden Calf celebrates the release of its second album, Perfume Brute. It comes some five years after the band’s debut, but the patience pays off. Captured at their own studio, the record has Wilco-esque warmth and instrumental interplay, especially on the lead-off track. “Either” seems to start mid-groove, slowly unfolding across six hazy minutes. The wait is worth it. Listen to the song below.
