Nori is Austin’s latest powerhouse of diverse music. Fronted by vocalist Akina Adderley, Nori incorporates elements of jazz, folk, and world music and draws influence from timeless artists like Nina Simone and John Coltrane.
The band’s full-length debut, World Anew, captures the seamless and improvisational style of Nori across nine sonically silky tracks. “Just A Man” passionately breathes life into a need for camaraderie in light of struggle in the modern world, with Adderley, bassist Aaron Allen, and trumpeter Erik Telford trading off.
