Santiago Dietche and Blair Robbins are respective members of Growl and Milezo, two Austin bands that skew more to the rock side of the equation. But together, they’re known collectively as Rain Collectors. This project is quieter but somewhat broader in scope. Their new release R C E P is a five song collection of folk-pop gems, each carried by Dietche and Robbins’ close harmonies. With its jazz-influenced rhythm and texture, “Unless One” kicks off the EP on a dreamy note, sounding like a long-lost Nick Drake song.
