Formed locally in 2015, The Banisters have taken their own pace in terms of rounding out their sound. The songwriting spine of middle school teachers Dean Curran (guitar, vocals) and Chris DeSilva (bass) quickly gained musical muscle and flesh with the addition of Nicole Hutchins (keys, vocals) when the then-trio began zeroing in on their brand of rock, soul and blues influenced tunes. With the subsequent inclusion of bassist Johnny Thompson (bass) The Banisters spread their sound with their debut EP just last year. Completing the quintet and complementing the rhythm section is Ian Benjamin (drums) who can be heard with the full group on the upcoming sophomore EP, Pinon Vista.
