Will Johnson: “Bus Stop”

For twenty-six years, Rock And Roll Rentals has been a musical savior in Austin, renting out top-quality gear to your cash-strapped hotshot guitarist or lights and a fog machine to your delusional drummer. RNR is finally opening up a new location at 8335 Burnet Road, and they’re celebrating with a big party tomorrow from 4-8 p.m. Shivery Shakes, Peligrosa, and Modal provide the music, and the store will be raffling off some high-end equipment.

RNR also gives back to the community that’s helped them so much over the years. Ten percent of the store’s rentals and sales in the first week will go towards HAAM, the Health Alliance For Austin Musicians. You can also snag a copy of All ATX: British Invasion, a compilation CD benefiting HAAM that KUTX helped produce last year. It features dozes of Austin musicians covering British Invasion artists, including former Centro-matic frontman Will Johnson with an amped-up take on the Hollies’ “Bus Stop.” Download the song below, and check out the new Rock And Roll Rentals on Burnet tomorrow.
