Sound On Sound Signs Off

A dark cloud of dragon smoke hung over the first day of ACL Fest as the news broke of the cancellation of November’s Sound On Sound Fest just one year into its forecasted legacy. A reason for the sudden cancellation was not immediately divulged, but it did eventually come out that a major investor had backed out about a week and a half prior, and Sound On Sound’s organizers were unable to secure another major beneficiary, ultimately compelling them to make the difficult decision to calls it quits on this year’s festivities. Sound on Sound is offering full refunds to everyone who purchased a ticket, and in their official statement said they are currently rebooking artists at club venues around downtown for the weekend of November 10-12 and other SOS-sponsored performances next year. People who purchased tickets to Sound on Sound will have an opportunity to buy tickets before the general public. Festival producer Margin Walker Presents will announce these rescheduled shows on October 16th.
