Amasa Hines 11.10.16

Little Rock’s Amasa Hines bring some much needed soul to Americana music. The group’s take on the genre is more psychedelic in instrumentation, but Joshua Asante’s vocals have the power of an uplifting sermon.  Their songs include these lush breakdowns in the middle of most of their songs that create the feeling of an exhilarating road trip throughout the South.  The band’s inclusion of brass instruments really makes each track feel more alive, and it is sure to rejuvenate any listener that happens to come across this.  Amasa Hines stopped by Studio 1A and they will be opening up for Lee Fields & The Expressions this Friday at the Mohawk!
