Austin based singer and songwriter Bill Carter can’t be mentioned without mentioning his wife and songwriting partner Ruth Ellsworth. Together, they’ve been writing music for more than 30 years. With songs of theirs recorded by artists ranging from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Counting Crows to the Fabulous Thunderbirds, their songwriting prowess is a force to be reckoned with. Bill Carter will be a part of the Austin Music Awards Wednesday March 13th at the Austin Music Hall, but you can listen to him caught live right here in Studio 1a.
