Bill Carter has been an instrumental part of the Austin music scene for almost three decades, writing, and playing songs alongside Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Counting Crows, and Waylon Jennings, to name a few. After viewing the documentary “Paradise Lost” with former bandmate Jonny Depp, Carter became active in effort to free the West Memphis Three, prompting him to write the song “Anything Made of Paper.” This song went on to be featured in Peter Jackson’s documentary “West of Memphis.” The music video for this song went on to win several awards from various groups including Best Music Video at the Rincon International Film Festival in Puerto Rico, and Best Animated Film, from the Los Angeles New Wave International Film Festival, the video is currently being shown at the Houston Film Commission’s, Texas Filmmaker’s Showcase in Los Angeles.
