Christopher Douthitt at KUTX 1.28.13

Austin based musician Christopher Douthitt is a man of few words, at least online. Trying to find fun facts to write in this blurb proved tricky, given that what he presents as a bio of himself is simply “Christopher Douthitt is a musician who writes words and music for voices and instruments.” But for Douthitt, it’s not about presenting himself, it’s about presenting his music. He lets his music speak for itself: lyrical and expressive, his pop-rock-folk sound is sometimes upbeat and bright, sometimes darker and more serious. Last year, he started a band, the Glyphs, who he plays with as Christopher Douthitt & the Glyphs.

Christopher Douthitt & the Glyphs will play a show at the Hole in the Wall tomorrow. Today, they stopped by Studio 1a to record a few songs for KUTX. Listen to them below!
