The Austin Chronicle describes Daniel Eyes & the Vibes by their “slacker punk energy with tunes that bounced between Eighties Dire Straits and Police, and the rawer garage guitar of Kurt Vile.” Austin’s own Daniel Eyes, the band’s primary vocalist, songwriter and guitar player began recording back in 2014. After a few unreleased solo EPs, Eyes recruited a full lineup including drummer Cruz Crase, bassist Russell Simonson, and guitarist Dylan Stephens. The four-piece releases their debut EP, Sweet Dreaming, on January 29th. The EP was recorded at both Church House Studios in Austin, TX and Studio 1916 in Kyle, TX. Self-produced by Daniel Eyes, with additional production from Travis Kennedy (Ryan Adams, Ben Kweller, Jimi Hendrix) and mastered by Grammy Award winning Gavin Lurssen (Alison Krauss & Robert Plant, Eric Clapton, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars).
