From humble beginnings as singer-songwriter friends that lead to them becoming a romantic musical duo, Dawn & Hawkes capture an authentic sound of love and passion. Fellow Austinites, Miranda Dawn and Chris Hawkes met in 2010 and became fast friends the first time they sang together. Their sound is a bit singer-songwriter, folk, americana, and pop that utilizes their harmony that is absolutely mesmerizing. Dawn & Hawkes have gone on to tour with incredible bands such as Dawes, Patty Griffin, Robert Earl Keen and have played at numerous festivals including Kerrville Folk Festival, SXSW as well as a long run on the hit T.V. show, The Voice. The duo continue writing music in their free time and have recently released their album titled, Yours and Mine.
