As a rapper and singer, Dessa has performed at festivals around the world, composed music for choirs, and contributed to the smash hit The Hamilton Mixtape. Dessa’s newest album, Chime, landed in heavy rotation here at KUTX and continues her growth as a thoughtful songwriter and powerful vocalist. In addition to being an exceptional performer, Dessa is also an accomplished writer and poet published by The New York Times magazine, Minnesota Public Radio, and now her own hardcover, My Own Devices.
