Dispatch 6.20.17

Dispatch have sat on the thrown of indie-jam for the past twenty years, and it doesn’t look like they’ll be giving up the crown anytime soon. Formed back in 1996 in Vermont the band has spent the past two decades honing their craft and thickening up their sound. This month sees the release of their sixth studio album; America, Location 12. Recorded in seclusion in Northern California during the surreal whirlwind of the 2016 election, the album is a testament to the band’s expanded musical palette and background in humanitarianism. Brimming with protest songs it is an uncompromising look at the peace and plight of the human condition. The subject matter may be heavy but the sound produced is oh-so-sweet. Staying true to their indie-jam roots the songs feature plucking guitar, vocal harmonies and groovy rhythms. It is a musical melting pot of acoustic pop, reggae, indie-rock and funk. Dispatch brought their energy and rhythm to Studio 1A ahead of their show at Stubbs. Check it out below!
