Global Soundscapes aims to bring traditional world music to Austin.
Giving their first concert together in 2014, Global Soundscapes came together after Joe Hauger, the Director of Operations at the Yoga Yoga studio, met award-winning sitarist Indrajit Banerjee. A group that is heavily invested in teaching and creates music that promotes relaxation, Global Soundscapes, featuring Indrajit Banerjee on sitar alongside Gourisankar Karmakar on tabla, Joe Hauger on singing bowls, Jon Johnston on shakuhachi, and Shankar Bhattacharyya on sarod, will be performing at the Yoga Yoga Westlake studio this weekend.
