With a musical performance history that can make even the most seasoned of rock and roll enthusiasts squeal, Ian McLagan provides a unique link between Austin and classic 1960s U.K. rock. Before moving to Austin in 1994, McLagan was best known for his membership as the keyboardist in The Small Faces (later Faces), though he’s also notably gigged with The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt and Bruce Springsteen – just to name a few. Once in Austin, Ian recruited some of the city’s finest players to establish his current Bump Band, including ‘Scrappy’ Jud Newcomb, Conrad Choucroun, and Jon Notarthomas. Ian McLagan and the Bump Band can be found regularly playing at Austin’s Lucky Lounge but they joined us in our very own Studio 1A this Friday, August 2nd for a live performance!
