LA-based duo In The Valley Below are defying genre and bucking convention with their unique art-rock. Made up of Memphis-born Jeffrey Jacob and Michigan girl Angela Gail, the two began collaborating after playing a SXSW show in 2011. The two instantly recognised a rare, on-stage connection and have been making music with a feverish intensity ever since. Their latest release, Elephant EP, is a testament to their effortless genre-melding. Characteristically stylish, the record is a bit electro-pop, a bit Americana and a bit dark art-rock. It is incredible and elusive; music that won’t be pinned down. In The Valley Below brought their authentic, lush sound to Studio 1A ahead of their release show at Stubb’s Indoors.
