Since Jason Moran emerged onto the jazz scene in the late 90s, the jazz pianist has never stopped proving himself as a performer and an innovator. Frequently called “the future of jazz,” Moran has won a smattering of awards for risk-taking approach to jazz music. Recently, he was named the artistic advisor to the Kennedy Center on jazz. At the Kennedy Center, just like in his music, he pushes innovation, while never forgetting the the roots and classics of jazz.
