Listening to Jerry David DeCicca‘s music is like driving through the Hill Country on a blue-skied sunny day. A bit like a Texas-style Leonard Cohen, his guitar strums easily along with his lyrics about time, place, and the simpler things in life. His song “Watermelon” makes you feel like you’re sitting at a picnic table on a summer’s day, eating a juicy watermelon, and listening to the hum of nearby bees. Although he is originally from Ohio, DeCicca has successfully turned the Hill Country into a sound you can hear. Join Jerry David DeCicca in celebrating the release of his new album, Time the Teacher, this Saturday, February 10th, at Beerland. In the meantime, take a listen to his studio 1A session below!
