Jimmy Webb at KUTX 9.12.13

Jimmy Webb is a platinum-selling songwriter who has been composing iconic rock tunes since the mid-1960s, including “By the Time I Get to Phoenix”, “MacArthur Park” and “Galveston”. Webb is perhaps most revered for his expansive composing, which gracefully shifts in time with the changes in pop music over the decades in which he’s worked. Aside from simply writing, Webb has released an impressive catalog of performance records since his first official debut in 1970, Words and Music.

Words and Music and its successors, including the recently released Still Within the Sound of My Voice, solidify the fact that Webb is just as endearing of a performer as he is a writer.
