A slew Austin’s favorite musicians came by Studio 1A on Friday to celebrate John Lennon’s 75th birthday. Shiny Ribs, Suzanna Choffel, William Harries-Graham, Darin Murphy, Miles Zuniga, Johnny Goudie and Gurf Morlix spun their vocals on their favorite John Lennon tunes, and the #9 Orchestra lead the festivities with their rendition of “Strawberry Fields” and “#9 Dream.”
Jody Denberg hosted the birthday bash on air before the Lennon lovers brought the tribute show to Threadgill’s World Headquarters later that evening.
