Adam Schatz is one of those guys who has a multitude of projects going on at any given time. He’s played saxophone with Vampire Weekend and Man Man, and he runs a jazz festival in NYC. But, for now, his indie rock band Landlady is his main focus. Pitchfork compares Landlady’s sound to “the Band if they had Dirty Projectors’ skewed sense of song structure,” and we’re super into that kind of blending of genres. Before they head to their show at the Mohawk, Landlady will take the Studio 1A stage LIVE on August 26 at 2pm, so be sure to check them out.
