Letting Up Despite Great Faults 3.9.17

Austin-based shoegaze/dream-pop group Letting Up Despite Great Faults is a synth driven powerhouse. The most striking thing about their recent release Alexander Devotion is the unrelenting, but somehow diverse, dance grooves that make up the 4 song EP. The next time you’re at a party that needs a dance floor, put this EP on repeat and you’ll be dancing till the sun comes up. The group is the brainchild of Mike Lee, a DIY electronic music savant who learned most of what he knows about the nuts and bolts of creating music on a computer via the internet. You wouldn’t guess that he’s a homegrown kind of guy by listening to his music though, it’s highly polished and very clever. Letting Up Despite Great Faults stopped by Studio 1A to show us some of his tunes, check out their session below!
