Local band the Lost Pines provides an upbeat addition to the Austin bluegrass scene!
Created in 2007 by Talia Bryce (Rhythm Guitar/Lead Vocals) and Christian Ward (Banjo/Lead Vocals), the group went from busking on South Congress to performing at local festivals after the release of their first studio album “Middle of the Morning” in 2008. The addition of Alex Rueb (Mandolin), Kyle Clayton (Upright Bass) and Eddie Dickerson (Fiddle), resulted in a stronger, more traditional bluegrass sound.
The group also founded Farmgrass Fest in 2014, which brings together several regional bluegrass bands to raise money for the Farmers Emergency Medical Fund.
