Man Man at KUTX 9.24.13

Man Man is a band known for their wild eccentricity, a characterization that has followed them throughout their ten-year career and release of five albums. Their music is centered on lead singer and songwriter Honus Honus’ (Ryan Kattner) piano playing, and their tunes are beautifully weird and peculiar. The Philadelphia-based band is also known for their energetic, frantic live shows, often complete with face paint and all-white outfits, plus experimental instruments including a clavinet, Moog Little Fatty, sousaphone, and xylophone. Their newest album On Oni Pond debuts a reconfigured sound for the band, a result of intensive collaboration between Honus Honus and drummer Pow Wow.

The Zappa-esque band was in our studio this past Tuesday for a live performance, and you can listen to it right here!
