We’ve all got that friend who has a guitar and wrote a few songs about their most recent breakup. Matthew Squires is not that friend. Squires and his band the Learning Disorders have put out five albums in the past four years, already making him one of the more prolific musicians around today. The fact that each album grows and evolves from the previous one makes him unique. In his upcoming album Tambaleo, Squires lays into his slightly offbeat psychedelic indie pop groove, but with a new sense of maturity and depth. His crafted, funny lyrics sung over dynamic and clever arrangements make Tambaleo an album to watch in 2017.
