Pianist Michelle Schumann has been praised many times over for being a fantastically versatile musician and performer. She easily slides from classical to contemporary styles, sometimes within the same composition, playing both with emotion and passion that make her performances really shine. At her concerts and performances, Schumann has been known to engage the audience with her captivating insights into the context or history of the work. She currently puts her skill and musical knowledge to work as the Artistic Director of the Austin Chamber Music Center and as Artist-in-Residence and Associate Professor of Piano at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
