MilkDrive @ KUTX 03.11.2015

MilkDrive, the progressive acoustic string quartet based out of Austin, provides a combination of exceptional skill and direct delivery.

Featuring multi-instrumentalists Brian Beken (fiddle, mandolin, guitar, lead vocals), Dennis Ludiker (mandolin, fiddle, harmony vocals), Noah Jeffries (guitar, fiddle, mandolin, harmony vocals), and Jesse Dalton (double bass, harmony vocals), the “jazz grass” collective bridges the genres of bluegrass, folk, and jazz,  occasionally even veering into the realm of melodic pop. Following a trajectory that eventually saw them adding vocals into their mix of nuanced, complex, and charming melodies, MilkDrive has consistently cultivated a clean and sharp sound. The band will be putting out their new album Places You’ve Not Been, which will feature mostly original material, at the end of the month.

You can watch MilkDrive performing live at Cactus Cafe on March 14th or you can stream their music right here on KUTX.
