Pepita Emmerichs and Olivia Hally first met while they both attended a performing arts school in Melbourne and remarkably–the rest is history. With Pepita on mandolin/violin and Olivia on guitar, the two quickly discovered their strong musical chemistry shortly after meeting. Soon after they decided to come together as the indie-pop duo, Oh Pep!, they accomplished their biggest dream of playing at the Glastonbury Festival, while touring their 2016’s album, Stadium Cake.
Their second studio album is set to be released on October 26th of this year. Pepita describes the new album titled, I Wasn’t Only Thinking About You, as one that is darker than anything that they have ever played before. The album embodies the personal growth that the two went through as they inevitably grew wiser while touring the world together. The album is rooted in melodic folk themes and an indie-pop sound that has an infectious likeability. Oh Pep! came into Studio 1A and played a few songs off of the new album.
