Plantation Band 5.25.16

It’s a simple story of sound guy meets food truck owner. That’s how Carlton Bostock and Vince Delgado met anyway. Bostock owns a food trailer behind Hotel Vegas and Delgado runs sound, so when it came time for Bostock to find a bass player it was a natural match. With that came the formation of Austin’s newest country rock band, Plantation Band.

KUTX’s John Parsons said it best, they’re a country band with an alternative Soundgarden influence. This country band isn’t your generic crawfish-boil, chili kickoff, mix tape – it’s a smorgasbord of of sound with blue-grassy harmonicas, Jim Morrison keys, and even a hint of cajun zydeco.

The six-piece’s debut album Most Intellectual is out this Friday, May 27th on Austin Town Hall Records but the real party is June 1st at Cheer Up Charlies with the record release show. Plantation Band dropped by Studio 1A to give KUTX a sneak peek. Check it out below.
