Ray Prim is an Austin-based singer who brings a beautiful mix of groovy Al Green-esque R&B and songwriting like Ray Lamontagne into something uniquely himself. His tunes are wonderful and his voice is sweet and smooth to anyone’s ears.
At the core of his songs are great vocal melodies and an acoustic guitar. They are deeply sensitive, direct & beautiful and with these two components alone, his songs are rich and full. However, he uses full band arrangements bring to life even more beautiful textures through violins, keys and a full rhythm section. Be sure to enjoy his latest record, “Still Here”, which came out earlier this year! If you are looking for great songs, with a bit of groove, this is for you.
