With the release of his second solo album, Put Upon, Ryan Sambol visited KUTX to chat about his life on the road and to perform a few of his new songs. Sambol told us, “There’s not very many jobs that you can do successfully while living in your car. A traveling musician, a songwriter can get away with it.” The simplicity of an acoustic guitar combined with the honesty in his lyrics gives his music an authenticity you don’t stumble upon every day. The gentle guitar in the title track will give you chills. Sambol will be performing at Hotel Vegas with Future Museums on Jan. 23 and his new album Put Upon is available on Bandcamp now.
