One of the earliest pioneers of Americana and co-founder of Nickel Creek, Sean Watkins‘ music encompasses the genres of bluegrass, pop, and folk.
Also a part of the bands Fiction Family and Works Progress Administration, the singer-songwriter and award-winning guitarist has toured with Jackson Browne and Lyle Lovett, and done session work for the likes of Dolly Parton, Steve Martin, the Chieftains, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and Hank Williams Jr. throughout his prolific career. However, last year saw Watkins stepping out front and center, releasing his new solo album, his first in almost a decade, All I Do is Lie. The album features a collection of sparsely produced acoustic tracks showcasing impressive guitar work, a sound which Watkins himself describes as “a culmination of the past 10 years” and a sound he can finally call his own.
