Sour Bridges at KUTX 11.25.13

This fun bunch of Austin musicians like to play what they call “browngrass” music, which is a dirtier version of bluegrass. It’s a type of bluegrass that isn’t afraid to experiment with a gritty rock n’roll sound or to grab a hold of some doo-wop roots. The high energy of their live performance is infectious and exciting for all participants. Over the hollering and foot-stomping of the crowd, the band’s eclectic, acoustic instrumentation and warm vocal harmonies shine! With the August 2013 release of their sophomore album, Catfish Charlie, the band will be playing around Austin until December 21st. Check their website for dates!

Earlier this November, the band’s trailer was broken into, and much of their equipment was stolen. If you are a Sour Bridges fan, or just have a big heart for local musicians, there is a donation page set up through Pay Pal to help these guys out!
