Steve Earle & The Dukes 7.5.17

You never know what you’ll learn at a Steve Earle show. More than a prolific songwriter, Earle’s interests vary as widely as the characters in his songs. And you can be sure he’ll tell you whatever is on his mind at the moment, whether it be civil war history, New Orleans Jazz… or really just about anything from sports to stargazing. Like his never ending quest for knowledge, Steve Earle never stops creating. For his newest album, So You Wannabe An Outlaw, Earle joined his long-running band, The Dukes, in Austin to pay homage to Waylon Jennings recreate the outlaw country sounds that put the city on the map. After taking part in Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic, Steve Earle brought the band by Studio 1A to play us a few tunes from the new record and to drop some knowledge on our studio audience.
