London-born, Austin-based Still Corners gives us a modern take on the golden age of synth pop. Songwriter/producer Greg Hughes and vocalist Tessa Murray create a synth-fueled fugue state that’s a real pleasure to get lost in. Their 2016 release Dead Blue brings cinematic soundscapes, driving synth bass lines, and pure Brian Wilson nostalgia into the present, mixed with disco rhythms and Murray’s lilting vocal lines. It’s music in technicolor, with a nod to the future. Check out Still Corners’ Studio 1A session below!
