Local Austin band Summer Salt are just three best pals livin’ on island time. Formed in while still in high school the surf rock trio might be a long way from the beach but their music sits on the sand, wears hawaiian shirts and orders another mojito. Made up of Matt’s sweet vocals, Eugene’s gentle drumming and Phil’s plucking bass; they’re making fun-filled, coral reef rock. Their new EP, So Polite, is slated for release at the end of the month and the name just about says it all; no doubt it will be packed with wholesome, tropical oldies.
