For those who aren’t aware, the stars have aligned in the blues-rock world, and the result is the Tedeschi Trucks Band. The 2001 marriage of musicians Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks has been more than the joining of two independently superb musicians , both having led their own successful solo bands, but has given way to a molten hot blues entity in its own right. The eleven piece Tedeschi Trucks Band presents an honest, soulful style of blues-rock that has the flexibility of a jazz ensemble in that it highlights not only Tedeschi and Trucks’ individual skills, but also their fantastic backing band. The outcome of this match made in heaven has been the Grammy Award winning debut album, Revelator, as well as a scorching 2012 live album.
